networks

Establishing network affiliations between groups creates possibilities, not just for collaboration, but also for sharing ideas, resources, and strengths. Grouping our programs into networks will help us all provide better services and make better use of CI's resources, such as training, manuals, research/references, best practices, reflection sessions, and special events.

Network affiliations are intended to be flexible since many programs incorporate different aspects and work with participants in varied capacities. For example, if your porgram works with youth addressing health topics, e.g. HEAL or Berrie Buddies, coordinators could draw on both the Health & Environment and the Youth Tutoring networks. Networks will encourage coordinators to think about what programs have in common, what they and their programs need, and how to best accomplish their goals. Networks can help coordinators see the big picture, maintain relationships with each other, make connections, facilitate communication, execute existing endeavors, and inspire new initiatives.

Networks will help us understand the complexity of the social issues our programs address. We hope networks offer a more comprehensive leadership and volunteer experience to all involved with CI.
