Looking for an Internship?
It’s that time of year again – Career Services is full of students, people are stressing about interviews, and everyone is trying to figure out what they are doing this summer.
While many people are focused on working for big banks or doing research for medical school, Community Impact invites you to think about another type of summer opportunity – Community Service.
The Van Amson Fellowship provides housing and a $3,000 stipend for students who have secured a non-profit internship in New York City. It also invites students to propose a project within Community Impact to work on. This year we are excited to announce yet another type of project – a service learning fellowship. This fellow will work closely with a professor from the American Studies department to plan a service component to her Fall 2010 immigration course.
We are having our first information session Monday, Feb. 8 at 8:00 in Lerner 569.
Applications are due March 21, 2010! Visit http://communityimpactatcu.org/van-amson-fellowship or email: cifellowshipfund@gmail.com for more information.
Have you been a fellow before? We encourage you to post comments about your experiences.
