Job Description: Help develop and teach a new pilot curriculum to low income adults who are seeking entry-level employment in the growing green sector. You will help design the elements of the program, shape the curriculum and collaborate with the computer skills teacher, ensuring that your exercises reinforce the computer lessons. Lead classroom instruction on weatherization, Energy Star, LEED building requirements. Help students learn terminology and gain office skills needed to be successful in a green company.
Qualifications: Graduate Student with experience in education, social services, job development and knowledge of the health industry.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong Internet and MS Office Skills.
Ability to manage client database and track client status.
Provide monthly updates to supervisors.
Ability to work well with diverse group of individuals.

Job Description: The Health Care Job Developer and Trainer will manage Community Impact’s new Pilot HealthNET training program. The program will focus on preparing low-income adults in our computer program for employment opportunities in the Health Care Field. The Job Developer and Trainer will: (1) Develop curriculum to prepare Adult participants for entry level jobs in the Healthcare Sector (e.g. Medical Billing, Patient Care Services and Customer Service) (2) Teach curriculum to adult program participants (3)Spearhead Healthcare initiatives and interactive projects (4) Collaborate with the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia Presbyterian and the Young MenÕs Clinic and other Community Partners (5)Create internship opportunities for program participants (6) Organize and schedule a speaker series for the training program (7) Manage client data base and evaluation outcomes to measure the impact of the training and job placement services

A trial curriculum exists, but you will have flexibility to modify and improve it.
